Do It Yourself Nutrients for Hemp & Gardens

Taught by Cole Kernstine of Smokey Ridge Organics

We’ll walk the garden at the FarmHouse Cafe to collect plants for making Fermented Plant Juices (FPJ), and learn how to process and store them, along with processes to create Oriental Herbal Nutrient (OHN) collections, catered to hemp farming.  We’ll teach about Indigenous Micro Organisms (IMO), where, why and how to collect them.

Cole Kernstine of Smokey Ridge Organics

Cole Kernstine has been practicing Korean Natural Farming (KNF) for 3 years and implementing organic farming for over 7, specifically with cannabis. Cole is passionate about sustainable farming and consciously sourcing his nutrient stock from his specific location and region. With the theory of co-planting and dynamic accumulators he creates his own feeding programs. He strives to keep overhead as low as possible without compromising quality or yield.


Special guest, Micah Roseberry, Owner of the FarmHouse Café, will talk about her biodynamic farm and agricultural-education programs. 

Micah Roseberry has over 30 years’ experience in organic, sustainable and biodynamic agriculture and 20 years’ experience in Waldorf education. She is also the co-owner of Cerro Vista Farms in Taos and has worked for the last fifteen years in farming and agricultural-education projects in the local Taos area, including planting gardens and designing and teaching school curriculum for elementary through university students. She is currently teaching sustainable farming classes at the University of New Mexico (Taos).
