We are excited to be developing our first Free Food Demonstration Farm in the San Luis Valley. We plan to install a 4-season greenhouse and other infrastructure to support roughly one acre of year-round food production.
- We expect to break ground in early 2019.
- High Ground Gardens of Crestone has pledged seed.
- Joyful Journey Hot Springs has pledged funds for infrastructure.
Free Food
Bob has always grown food to give away. He has created many iterations of this model and is excited to be growing for our community, here in the San Luis Valley. First inline for this food will be our local food pantries. When we have given them all the fresh, organic produce they can distribute, we will be looking to the next viable outlets.
We believe
food is a right,
not a privilege.
Service Learning Experience for Students
Bob Pedersen has worked with primary and secondary schools to create valuable hands-on experiences for students to gain an understanding of where their food comes from and how to grow it.
We look forward to collaborating with area school to create more of these programs.
